Arts Enhancement (AEP)
The program is a combination of timetabled lessons, workshops and ensemble work as part of the Instrumental Music Program. Students develop regular rehearsal habits at home and take part in performance opportunities. The AEP is designed to engage students with a passion for music and performing.
The AEP Dance program aims to gain a deep and all-encompassing understanding of work within the dance industry. AEP dance includes and extends beyond attending technical dance classes. Working with a range of high level industry professionals, students participate in dance technique in a variety of styles each week and are exposed to range of dance industry workshops, incursions and excursions. Students attend a dance camp at The Space dance studio in Prahran, attend professional productions and participate in masterclasses by visiting artists. 2015 masterclasses included workshops by Sydney Dance Company and New York based Rachel Mc Sweeny. Students also perform in at least two showcases throughout the year and experience the work of a dance educator through placements at local primary schools.
