Second Hand Uniforms

From December 2017 the College is using the online service Sustainable School Shop to allow parents to buy and sell second hand uniform items, replacing the consignment shop held on Tuesday afternoons.

Sustainable School Shop has been provided with the College's current uniform list to help families buy/sell the correct items. Please read the documents linked below for further information and guidance. Once registered you will start to receive emails detailing current available stock.

Welcome from Parents' Association President

Parkdale Secondary College Parents' Association would like to welcome both students and parents for the coming year.

Our Parents' Association plays an active role in the College community and we find many parents wish to be involved in their children's school life and keep abreast of current happenings within the school - as we all know it is impossible to rely on our teenager for vital information, no matter how hard we (and they) try!

The Association meets once a month on the school premises and often has very informative guest speakers in attendance. It is a great opportunity to network with other parents and discuss any queries you may have regarding the school and education of your child/ren.

The Parents' Association has been involved in many activities at the school over the years and looks forward to continuing this support for many more to come.  Some of the more recent and ongoing programs we participate in include:

  • Careers Day and Information Evenings
  • Orientation Evening and Open Night
  • Rotary Events
  • Assisting with Government Funding / School Redevelopment and Upgrade

Unlike parent support at Primary school level that focuses on raising funds to give back to the school, the main objective of the Parents' Association at Parkdale is to improve communication between parent, teacher and student and to assist the school by providing support to teachers and educational programs. Currently the College receives donations from Ritchies' Community Benefits Scheme, so that with every swipe of your card or tag at the checkout, Ritchies donates a percentage of your total shop to the school automatically every month. You can request a card or tag at your local Ritchies Store.

The teaching and administrative staff of Parkdale encourages and appreciates the parent involvement in our Association, and we are proud to support the learning of our children. I encourage you all too please consider being a part of your child's secondary education.

We hope you enjoy your time at Parkdale Secondary College!

Meetings are held monthly in the College Staff Room starting at 7pm.
